The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) supports the enactment of legal mail-in voting options for elections at the local, state, and federal levels. The AAFP also supports legislative efforts to increase legal access for voters to participate in elections. Increased participation by physicians and patients has the potential to increase engagement in important policy decisions around health care access, costs, quality, and outcomes. (May 2024 BC)
