Leadership Development for Family Physicians

Upon completion of this CME activity, you should be able to:

• Identify different leadership styles and how they can be observed in the physician setting.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of various leadership styles and skills.
• Apply leadership styles and skills to the challenges of managing in a clinical work environment.
• Identify leadership styles that will benefit their own organizational goals and patient experience.
• Utilize effective leadership skills and tools in order to lead other physicians and healthcare workers.
• Emphasize physician and patient well-being while leading teams.
• Examine gaps in diversity within leadership among the medical profession.

The AAFP has reviewed Leadership Development for Family Physicians and deemed it acceptable for up to 13.25 Enduring Materials, Self-Study AAFP Prescribed credit. Term of Approval is from 3/22/2023 to 3/22/2026. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
