Charlotte Kerner, CPA, joined the AAFP in 2019 and is responsible for the financial operations of the organization, including financial reporting, budgets, investments and cash management.
Kerner oversees the Finance and Accounting Division in addition to serving as the AAFP's chief financial officer. She acts as a financial consultant to the AAFP Board of Directors and the executive vice president, deputy executive vice president, and other vice presidents. She also serves as staff executive to the Commission on Finance and Insurance.
Before coming to the AAFP, Kerner served as CFO at both Foley Industries and Beauty Brands. Kerner is on the board of directors and a member of Financial Executives International.
Kerner holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degrees in accounting, from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Missouri.
