Procedural skills' courses which by design, scope, and/or duration include both cognitive and skills testing are important to family physicians seeking to support their ability to perform procedures. The AAFP seeks to work collaboratively with other specialty societies, when appropriate, concerning issues of procedure skills, including but not limited to: training, privileging and credentialing, and joint political action.
