The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has opened the final score preview period for the 2022 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) performance year. From now until August (when CMS releases final performance feedback, including payment adjustments) you can preview your 2022 MIPS final scores, which will determine your 2024 MIPS payment adjustment.
During the preview period, CMS displays the highest possible final score for a clinician, group or Alternative Payment Model (APM) Entity, and all the data required to calculate final scores, including:
The final score preview does not include payment adjustment information or patient-level reports.
To access your MIPS final score preview:
Scores could change between now and August if CMS identifies any issues during the preview period that require system-wide scoring corrections.
If you find an error with the data, contact the QPP Service Center (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET) at 1-866-288-8292 (TRS: 711) or at QPP@cms.hhs.gov. Note that issues raised during the preview period are not part of a targeted review. The targeted review process, which allows clinicians to request a review of their MIPS payment adjustment, will be available for 60 days after CMS releases payment adjustment information in August.
