On May 9, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will notify physicians and others who submitted a complete late reporting request related to Period 1 of the Provider Relief Fund of their approval or denial. Those who are approved will then have until 11:59:59 p.m. (Eastern) on May 23, 2022, to complete and submit their Reporting Period 1 report.
Those who submit a request to report late should not return the applicable Provider Relief Fund payments at this time. If approved to submit a late report, they will become compliant with the reporting requirement once they submit the report and will not need to return any used funds. If they are not approved or do not complete the late report by May 23, 2022, they will be notified of next steps by HRSA.
Meanwhile, the opportunity to request late reporting due to extenuating circumstances for Reporting Period 2 (for payments totaling more than $10,000 received between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2020) is open now through May 13, 2022. More information on late reporting requests is available from HRSA. A physician practice or other entity may submit the request at this location. This is only for Reporting Period 2. The opportunity to request late reporting for Reporting Period 1 has closed.
If you have any questions related to the Provider Relief Fund, you are welcome to contact ProviderReliefContact@hrsa.gov.
