• What a waiting room liaison can do for your office

    Having an organized and hospitable waiting room can give you more credibility with patients. Some practices designate official waiting room liaisons — which can be existing employees or new hires — to make sure there’s always someone available to do the following tasks:

    • Greet patients,
    • Help patients complete paperwork (update personal, contact, and insurance information),
    • Keep the waiting room organized (remove trash and arrange chairs and reading material),
    • Assist patients with tablets, kiosks, or other technology, if necessary,
    • Assist patients who have mobility issues or other disabilities, if necessary.
