Program Description

MDFMR has a 30 year history of family medicine resident training, offering a strong curriculum in inpatient and outpatient obstetrics, pediatrics, and internal medicine. Among our 30+ clinical faculty members are eleven osteopathic physicians, an obstetrician, 2 dermatologists, and a pediatrician. There is a choice among two family practice sites. We offer a neuromuscular medicine plus one program, a Sports Medicine Fellowwhip; a Geriatric Fellowship and also are a participating site for the Integrative Medicine in Residency program through the University of Arizona. MDFMR encourages balance and identity outside of medicine. Residents are encouraged to be involved in the local community with social and political activism. Lakes, mountains and the ocean are within a one hour drive for year round recreation. Our location in the state capitol provides unique opportunities for participation in state health policy activities. For more details, please access our website at www.mainedartmouth.org
