Samaritan is dedicated to improving the health of the communities it serves and the Family Medicine residency contributes significantly to that mission. Residents provide care to urban and rural underserved populations in a variety of settings and the residency sponsors a clinic at the local Boys and Girls club. Samaritan was recognized as a 2018 national finalist for an “Excellence in Community Service” award and has been named Oregon’s “Healthiest Employer” for four of the past five years.
