Program Description

The KRMC Family Medicine Residency Program is in a rural setting and offers comprehensive preparation in family medicine which includes OMT training. Our residency clinic serves an average of 6,000 patients annually. There is a integral involvement with a diverse patient population presenting a wide scope of medical issues and complicated medical problems along with opportunities to perform OMT and procedures relevant to clinical practice. There is training in inpatient hospital care, including ICU and inpatient pediatrics. The advantage to our residents in our rural program is that they will do the work of specialists. They care for a range of medical issues from diabetic complications through hypertension. Our residents become highly competent physicians, skilled in inpatient care and ambulatory clinic medicine. We have had a 100% pass rate on board certification exams.
