Making the right decisions for family medicine starts with listening to you.
The AAFP is more than 128,000 family physicians strong, practicing in every corner of the country. But such a large and diverse membership makes it difficult for us to know what’s working and what’s not.
So every year, we use the Member Satisfaction Survey as our chance to check in with you—because what matters to you, matters to us. In the 10-minute survey, tell us what you need to thrive in your practice, career and life. We read every comment, every line. Let’s shape the future of family medicine together.

Have Questions About the Survey?
All active and resident members received the survey in an email on March 1 with a personalized link unless you opted out of survey and focus group messages at some point.
If you have opted out of AAFP emails, no problem. Just sign in directly to the survey with your member ID and complete the survey.
Go to aafp.org and click Log In in the upper right corner of your screen. Then click on My Account. You'll find your Member ID under your your name. Then you can take the survey.
It may seem like a minor thing, but your answers mean a lot to us - it’s our check-in to make sure you’re getting what you need from us. That’s why we exist. For you.
So yes, your response makes a big difference. Even if you don’t offer open comments, you help us understand where we need to be. You’re our performance gauge.

Here's a Look at Our Efforts How Your Feedback Influenced Our Work in 2024
- Support for maintaining board certification: We offered Board Review products in multiple formats, like Board Review Express Livestream, to help you prepare. Our free board prep questions also helped you see the areas you need to focus on, and dive deeper with detailed explanations.
- Building the right CME for family physicians: We understood the education you needed to meet your professional requirements and improve clinical skills, like releasing the updated Adult Medicine Edition 11 and Geriatric Medicine Edition 13 packages.
- Continued efforts to remove extra steps so you can focus on patients: We want to reduce practice burdens for common pain points like EHR inbox or documentation with resources from our Administrative Simplifcation Library.
- Advocating to increase payment and reduce administrative burden: We testified on Medicare payment in the Senate, offered the Career Benchmark Dashboard to compare salary and more to peers in similar roles, and helped reintroduce a bill to combat prior authorization.
What you share in 2025 will help us do the same.
