Women 65 to 69 years of age and men 70 to 79 years of age if T-score ≤ −1.5Men 70 to 79 years of age if T-score ≤ −1.5 at the lumbar spine, total hip, or femoral neck
Women who are postmenopausal and men 50 years and older with one of the following risk factors:
 Low-trauma fracture during adulthood (50 years and older)
 Historical height loss of 4 cm (1.5 inches) compared with peak height
 Cumulative height loss of 2 cm (0.8 inches) during interval medical assessment
 Recent or ongoing long-term glucocorticoid use
Women who are postmenopausal and men 50 years and older with one of the following risk factors:
 Fracture during adulthood (50 years and older)

 Medical conditions associated with bone loss, such as hyperparathyroidism
