The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) makes the American Family Physician (AFP) and Family Practice Management (FPM) sections of the website available as a member service. The site is intended for noncommercial use only. In using the website, you agree to the following terms:

• You are responsible for any content you post. Remember that, in some cases, postings may be made available to the public; do not post information you would like to keep private. Your name and the date will automatically be added to your posting.
• You agree not to post any content that is defamatory, libelous, obscene, pornographic, or otherwise illegal.
• You agree to be courteous, use respectful and nondiscriminatory language, and refrain from personal attacks.
• You agree that you will not post content that infringes on intellectual property rights of another person or institution or content that contains computer code intended to damage any computer.

We encourage that posts that contain practice recommendations include supporting references from peer-reviewed journals, and reserve the right to remove any posts that make unsubstantiated health claims about diagnostic or therapeutic interventions, or that do not comply with the guidelines above.

By posting information on this site, you grant the AAFP the perpetual right to use the information without limitation in any publication of the AAFP, both electronic and print.

Journal website services, including but not limited to blogs and comment posts, are not intended to provide medical, financial, or legal advice.
