AAFP Conflict of Interest Disclosure Policies

These policies apply to conflict of interest disclosures related to participation in an AAFP-produced continuing medical education (CME) activity or an individual’s service or employment by the AAFP.

Please choose the form that best describes your participation or service:

Option 1 - CME Disclosure Policy and Form

Individuals who plan, carry out, or contribute to AAFP-produced CME activities are subject to the CME Disclosure Policy and should complete the CME Disclosure Form.

Note: Not all relationships automatically exclude an individual from service on behalf of the AAFP or involvement in a specific matter, although it may be that participation should be avoided, limited, or qualified by disclosure of the competing interest. If there is any uncertainty about whether there is a conflict, the individual should err on the side of full disclosure.

Option 2 - Conflict of Interest Policy and Form

All AAFP staff and individuals who serve as members of the Board of Directors, officers,  member representatives (e.g., commission members, representatives to external entities), and chief editors of any of the AAFP’s journals.
