Upon completion of this CME activity, you should be able to:

  • Choose preferred suturing methods for wound closure.
  • Perform local anesthesia with minimal pain and maximum effectiveness for patients.
  • Evaluate options for skin biopsy, including shave punch and excisional biopsies.
  • Compare appropriate biopsy selections for skin lesions depending upon the type of lesion and its expected depth.

The AAFP has reviewed Skin Biopsy and Suturing and deemed it acceptable for up to 1.25 Enduring Materials, Self-Study AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 7/11/2024 to 7/11/2027.
