    • Recognize how diagnostic ultrasound equipment works and how to properly obtain useful, interpretable images.
    • Recognize the normal and abnormal sonographic appearance of the organs and structures involved in the specific clinical application.
    • Obtain images of the specific clinical application and use them at the point-of-care for clinical decision making.
    • Utilize appropriate coding and billing documentation.

    The AAFP has reviewed POCUS Training for Family Medicine and deemed it acceptable for up to 12.5 Enduring Materials, Self-Study AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 6/18/2024 to 6/18/2027. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    The AAFP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
